Daily Schedule: Infants

7:00-9:00   Breakfast, clean up, free play
9:00-9:30   Individual play...singing songs, puzzles, age appropriate manipulatives, story time, etc
9:30-10:30   Morning snack/bottle, nap time
10:30-11:30   Outside play (weather permitting) or inside group activities
11:30-12:30 Lunch/bottle  
12:30-1:00   Brush teeth (if applicable), clean up, story time
1:00-3:00   Nap/rest time
3:00-4:00   Outside play (weather permitting) or inside group activities
4:00-5:00   Afternoon Snack/bottle
5:00-6:30   Free play, group story time, get ready to go home

These times and activities are a guideline for an average day. They will be tailored to accommodate the changing needs of each individual infant. The caregiver will stress conversation with the infant to help develop the verbal skills of the child, as well as plan other activities to develop oral motor skills and the other senses of touch, sound, and smell. The activities planned will include sensory materials that are appropriate for infants. Diapering will occur throughout the day as needed, with each child's diaper being checked at least once an hour that they are in care.

10:00-11:30    Individual play...fine motor skills: Number/letter recognition learning songs, puzzles, dress up, story time.
11:30-12:00    Lunch
12:00-12:30    Brush teeth, clean up, story time
12:30-1:00    Group story time
1:00-3:00    Nap/rest time
3:00-3:30    Afternoon snack
3:30-5:30    Painting, crafts, theme week activities, projects, etc.
5:30-6:30    Clean up, plan for the next day, group story time, get ready to go home.

Diapers will be checked and changed as needed each hour. Examples of topics explored could be a specific animal, color, letter, number, shape, etc. We will sing songs, do crafts and learn about our weekly subject, with our goal being to expand teach child's understanding and imagination.
